A Young Sheldon season 7 set video reveals the first look at Georgie (Montana Jordan) potentially during George’s (Lance Barber) funeral.
Georgie’s get-up for George’s potential funeral may have been revealed in a Young Sheldon season 7 video. The Coopers’ firstborn has gone through lots of changes in recent years, with the arrival of Baby Cece forcing him to grow up quickly. Now that he is married to Mandy, he has his own family to take care of. However, he is still part of Georgie and Mary’s clan, which means that his dad’s death will be a major part of his personal arc in the sitcom.
Courtesy of Raegan Revord on TikTok, a video features Montana Jordan as Georgie dressed formally for what could be Young Sheldon season 7’s funeral for George. Watch the video below:
The video is of Jordan and Revord goofing on set, and it seems to have been taken during the time that the cast of Young Sheldon seemingly filmed George’s funeral. Jordan is wearing black pants and a shirt with a tie. He is also sporting his new wedding band from recently tying the knot with Mandy.
How George’s Young Sheldon Death Impacts Georgie’s Life
The Young Sheldon Spinoff Could Explore Georgie Coping With His Father’s Death.
Young Sheldon only has a handful of episodes left, and George’s death may not go down until its final few episodes.
While not much was revealed about Georgie’s life in The Big Bang Theory, some pertinent information about what lies ahead for him was established in the nerd-centric sitcom, including how he becomes a successful business owner. Season 7 revisiting Georgie’s tire capabilities sets up his entrepreneurial success, which will likely be further explored in his upcoming Young Sheldon spinoff with Mandy. This arc will simultaneously go down with him taking over after George’s death. As he told his brother, Georgie needed to become the man of the house when they lost George because Mary was too grief-stricken.
How the writers are planning to show this is currently uncertain. Young Sheldon only has a handful of episodes left, and George’s death may not go down until its final few episodes. While this arc can be tackled in Georgie and Mandy’s sequel show, none of the remaining Texas-based Coopers will be series regulars in the new project. Therefore, it would be nearly impossible for the next CBS endeavor to highlight this particular part of Georgie’s life. Instead, it will mostly focus on him taking care of Mandy and Baby Cece.
Per The Big Bang Theory canon, Georgie and Mandy will eventually split up. It’s still uncertain when and how, but it’s curious if Georgie’s increased responsibility to his first family after George’s death plays a part in this. For now, Young Sheldon is focused on wrapping up the show. Whether the expansion project devotes time to this specific plot will be determined once the funeral is finally on the air.
