Turner, a retired restauranteur and widower residing in Hudson and Nist from New Jersey, soon got married in a lavish Live TV wedding. Promising to make each other happy, their sweet nothings ended up being ‘nothing’ for they divorced just three months after their televised wedding (see E! News).

Despite being in love, they cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. It was their living situation that caused the most drama. Gerry resided in a dreamy Indiana home he had built with his late wife while Nist resided in New Jersey along with her daughter and grandsons.
