Considering the likelihood that season 4 will have an episode or even a storyline focused on Sass’ death, it will conclude all the mysteries surrounding the main spirits. It may be the case that the CBS sitcom will move on to the next part of its storytelling.
The benefit that Sam (Rose McIver) has of communicating with ghosts means that she can help them cross over to the afterlife, which the sitcom hilariously describes as ‘getting sucked off.’ But it’s difficult to achieve that closure without knowing how each character perished to begin with. Sass, typically the most detached and levelheaded among the main spirits, remains the only myster.
Although usually operating with a light touch, Hetty’s revelation is handled with the seriousness it deserves.
