“The Bachelorette Party” – When Alberta’s descendant hosts a bachelorette party at Woodstone Mansion, Alberta becomes suspicious of her fiancé. Also, Jay is excited about a positive review on his restaurant, on the CBS Original series GHOSTS, Thursday, March 6 (8:31-9:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.
It doesn’t take long to find out why Alberta doesn’t like her great-grandniece’s fiancé in Ghosts season 4, episode 15. Meanwhile, Jay celebrates a good review.
The new episode has two distinct storylines happening once more. We get to see Sam deal with a ghost problem, while Jay has no idea there’s a second ghost problem. The big question that we all had going in was why Alberta would dislike Alicia’s fiancé without ever meeting him.
A little more of Alberta’s past in Ghosts season 4, episode 15
The bachelorette party is happening at Woodstone Manor. That makes sense considering Alicia’s connection to the place and the fact that it can hold all her friends. It’s also a great way for Alberta to get involved in the festivities.
It doesn’t take long for Alberta to be unhappy with the entire situation, though. She finds out that Alicia’s fiancé is a musician. Alberta has a history of falling for musicians, and she believes that they are bad news. It even looks like that’s the case when the fiancé turns up and seems to be cheating on Alicia with one of her friends.
Meanwhile, Jay starts the episode nervously waiting for a good review. Pete has gone to the publication to spy on the reviewer and comes back to share that it’s a good review. Only, it’s not a good thing. It turns out that Trevor had bribed the critic by sending an email. In Trevor’s defense, he did it for a good reason. He wanted to pay Jay back for saving his job, but isn’t great knowing that your review may not be genuine.
Jay quickly finds out from the review that Trevor had something to do with it. The terms “Brestaurant” certainly gives that away.
I feel for Jay in this. While Trevor was trying to do a good thing, it is disappointing for him. He needs to know if his restaurant is genuinely good, so he decides to get the critic over to get him to give a genuine review despite the bribe. And no, he doesn’t want the money back for the bribe. Even if it is a bad review, at least it’s an honest review. There is certainly something to be said for that. Jay needs to know what he did wrong to be able to do it right.
