Ghosts Stars Tease Rose McIver’s Directing Debut, Jay’s Parents, and More Surprises in Season 4

As Ghosts Season 4 continues on CBS, some of the cast recently stopped by TV Insider’s New York Comic Con studio to give fans a sneak peek into what lies ahead at Woodstone Mansion.

Rose McIver, Brandon Scott Jones, Román Zaragoza, and Sheila Carrasco, who play Sam, Isaac, Sasappis, and Flower, respectively, shared their excitement about the new season. At NYCC, it was announced that McIver will direct her first episode this season. “I’ve been super excited to direct for a long time,” McIver says, revealing her passion for TV directing and the unique challenges that come with it. She also expressed gratitude for her supportive co-stars, who playfully assured her of their loyalty.

Sheila Carrasco added, “All jokes aside, I’m thrilled to be directed by Rose. She’s brilliant both in front of and behind the camera.”

Another exciting development for fans is the upcoming arrival of Jay’s parents, played by Sakina Jaffrey and Bernard White. “They’re fantastic, and Sam continues to embarrass herself in front of Jay’s family,” Zaragoza teases, hinting at more humorous moments ahead.

Season 4 also introduced Mary Holland’s Puritan spirit Patience, who’s shaken things up at Woodstone with her unpredictable and intense powers. “It’s fun to play with the dynamic of a spirit we don’t know much about since she’s been underground for a century,” Jones shares. “She’s almost feral, and it’s exciting to explore that villainous side.”

While it’s unclear when Patience will return, her reference to “the others” hints that more mysterious spirits may be lurking in Woodstone’s history. To see what else is in store—including more shenanigans, romance, and possibly new ghostly characters—catch Ghosts every week on CBS.
