‘Golden Bachelor’ Drama Heats Up: Cindy Confronts Mel About His Feelings Ahead of Final Roses md18

‘The Golden Bachelor’ Mel Owens heads to three ladies’ hometowns this week.

It’s hometowns week on “The Golden Bachelor” and Mel is headed to Las Vegas to see Peg, Denver to see Debbie and Austin to see Cindy.

On The Red Carpet has an exclusive sneak peek at Cindy’s hometown visit. In the clip, seen in the video player above, Cindy takes Mel back to her Austin condo after visiting with her family. She said she was “so proud” to introduce Mel to her kids and she knows she feels “the big L” for Mel (love). But, she admits, “The downside is, my kids are not sure for me.”

Cindy brings up their concerns to Mel, saying, “they’re like, ‘are you sure that he feels for you the same way that you’re feeling for him?’ And honestly, I don’t know how you’re feeling.”

Mel is silent as Cindy tells a producer, “I’m not gonna ‘big L’ you unless you’re there with me.”

On The Red Carpet recently caught up with Cindy at the “Golden Gals” brunch and she told us it’s high time Bachelor Nation sees more from Mel.

“I think you will enjoy the next couple of episodes, because it’s really the time that Mel has got to start opening up. You’ve seen me cry plenty, but now it’s time to see some emotion out of Mel,” she said.

This comes at a crucial time in Mel’s journey. With just three women left, Mel has to make some big decisions and open up his heart.

“These episodes are really going to shake Bachelor Nation, shake the Goldens. And I think we’re starting to really see what relationships are like when you’re in their golden years, how complicated they can be, and what compromises people have to make. And maybe those compromises people won’t make,” Cindy added.

“The Golden Bachelor” airs Wednesdays at 9pm EST/8pm CST on ABC and streams the next day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. And listen to “Playing the Field: A Bachelor Podcast,” wherever you get your podcasts.
