Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner has penned a tell-all memoir, spilling the beans about how his romance and marriage to Theresa Nist quickly turned into fool’s gold.
Gerry, 74, reveals in Golden Years: What I’ve Learned From Love, Loss, and Reality TV that as he was standing on the platform preparing to pop the question to Theresa, 72, “I felt empty. [But] I had already made the decision that I was going to propose to Theresa … there was no happiness in the moment.”
The marriage ended a mere three months after their “fairytale” wedding, which aired live on TV in January 2024.
Gerry is now ready to walk down the aisle with Lana Sutton. He’s known his fiancée since Jan. 1, when Lana sent him an Instagram direct message after watching The Golden Bachelor. They announced their engagement on Oct. 3.
“I feel so good,” Gerry told New York Post, “about having a partner that I can trust, and laugh with, and enjoy.”
