GOLDEN Bachelor villain Nicolle Kate Briscoe is hoping her third time’s a charm as she tries to win Mel Owens’ heart on Golden Bachelor.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal the 64-year-old wellness influencer has been married and divorced twice.
Nicolle’s first marriage to William Briscoe ended in 2010, after both of their children were adults.
The Golden Bachelor star was the first to start the process, filing for dissolution of her marriage to William in Illinois that year.
Then in 2011, a new case was opened and Nicolle again filed for dissolution and her previous filing was referenced in the new case.
Fast forward to 2023, and Nicolle again found herself in another failed marriage.
Nicolle’s marriage to Steven Tiffen soured next, and in 2021, he filed for divorce in New York.
The filings between the pair continued until they were finally granted a divorce in 2023.
VILLAIN TITLE
While Nicolle has hit it off with Golden Bachelor Mel, her intentions on the show have been the topic of debate among the other women and show viewers.
The Miami-based yoga instructor, who promotes vegan meals on her Instagram, bothered fans and likely fellow contestants when she admitted she wasn’t on the show for all the right reasons.
During last week’s episode, Nicolle told a fellow contestant, “I told myself from the beginning, I’m not dating Mel. I’m dating America.”
“I’m dating everybody watching and not watching. That gives you exposure like you’ve never had.”
As if she needed to top her comments, she also called the women of last season of Golden Bachelor with Gerry Turner “not so great looking,” comments she walked back nearly a week after the show aired.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Nicolle posted: “Something I said recently that didn’t exactly sparkle with the kindness and grace I usually aim for.
“In a moment of thoughtlessness, and let’s be real, life inside the Bachelor mansion is like summer camp meets emotional boot camp, I made a comment comparing the Season 2 cast to Season 1.
“It was flippant and not my proudest moment. I didn’t mean any harm but I totally get that it came off as callous and dismissive toward the incredible women who started it all. And for that, I’m truly sorry!”
During last week’s episode, she also promoted her social media and made sure to drive home that she wanted to be more than the next Mrs. Owens.
“My Instagram is mostly just healthy, plant-based recipes, but I would love to be a spokeswoman for mid-life, beauty products or health-oriented products. I would become more and more of an influencer,” she told her fellow contestants.
Aggressively pursuing one-on-one time with Mel and making out with him in front of other women during the episode also didn’t score her any nice points, either.
FAIR WARNING
Some of the women began to notice Nicolle’s seemingly ulterior motives, including Robin Rocha, 63, who tried to caution Mel that not everyone was being “authentic.”
Though Robin didn’t name anyone specifically, Mel dismissed the warning and couldn’t believe that any of the women might not be genuine.
However, Nicolle revealed that her focus might have been more on the game than her connection with Mel when she later presented him with homemade lemon bars, made by several of the women, and claimed they were entirely her own.
In a confessional interview, Mel confessed to having a strong attraction to Nicolle and expressed excitement about seeing how their relationship would progress.
The other contestants frequently cast sceptical glances at Nicolle, concerned that Mel might not see through her façade and ultimately choose her over them.
This fear became a reality for some of the women, including Robin, who, despite her attempts to warn Mel about Nicolle’s behaviour, was eliminated and sent home.
Nicolle has made it clear she’s in the game to win, as just two weeks ago, cameras captured the blonde beauty half-naked with Mel in the pool, which even left one fellow contestant in tears over witnessing it.
