Gordon Ramsay and wife Tana vow to save marriage

Gordon Ramsay has told a friend he is appalled that his wife Tana has had to endure the humiliation of Sarah Symonds’ claims of a seven-year affair.

TV chef Gordon, who has assured Tana he has only met Symonds four times, is devastated by the uproar.

He told one friend: “I’m so sorry I’ve put Tana through this. I’ve apologized to her and feel dreadful.

“I feel I’ve been a fool. She doesn’t deserve all this grief.”

Multi-millionaire Gordon, 42, and Tana, 33, had a heart-to-heart at their £4million home in South London over 38-year-old Symonds’ allegations.

The friend said: “Gordon was honest with Tana. It was the least he could do in light of all that’s happened.

“He is so remorseful over putting her and the kids through such an ordeal. As you would expect, he’s also very angry and says a lot of it is complete b*******.”

Gordon told Tana he does know Symonds, who claims she has been his mistress for seven years. But the F-Word star insisted he had only ever met her on four occasions.

The couple, who have four children, agreed they would not let the swirl of vicious rumors wreck their 12-year marriage.

They have the full support of Tana’s parents Chris and Greta Hutcheson.

Chris, 60, is Gordon’s mentor and masterminded his business empire.

Symonds is expected to make more lurid revelations this weekend.

Tana again put on a brave face yesterday as she emerged from home with the family’s pet bulldog.

She said of the dog: “He’s called Rumpole. He’s just had his rabies jabs, the poor thing.” Gordon, famous for sounding off on TV, has not publicly discussed the allegations.

More details emerged yesterday of how Symonds, an ex-mistress of shamed Tory peer Jeffrey Archer, allegedly dramatically changed her looks to snare Gordon.
