The seven remaining ‘MasterChef Junior’ cooks have to turn a food they hate into something top rate.
When MasterChef Junior returns after a two-week hiatus, it is with an episode that makes the seven remaining pint-size cooks question just what Gordon Ramsay is up to.
In this mystery-box challenge, each of the young chefs is assigned their least favorite food from which to make a delicious dish, turning something they hate into something top rate.
For Bryson, it’s lima beans; for Lilo, it’s oysters; for Michael, it’s mushrooms; for Jordyn, it’s kale; for Alfred, it’s bleu cheese; for Asher, it’s anchovies; and for Remy, it’s tomatoes.

In this exclusive clip from tonight’s episode, Gordon decides he may need to pull out a barf bag in order to get 11-year-old Bryson to taste his lima bean dish.
Bryson developed his aversion to lima beans at school.
“My school ruined it for me,” he says. “They served them every week soaked in butter.”
So, Bryson decided to turn the lima beans into succotash, because lima beans are the key ingredient.
But he can’t serve it without tasting it, so Gordon jokes, “Are you going to go like that [Gordon asks Bryson pinching his nose]. Let me get a barf bag just in case. I will be behind you.”
Bryson makes the dreaded taste and then spits it out into the barf bag.
Will Bryson’s succotash be enough to get him through to the next week? Tune into MasterChef Junior tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX to find out who goes through and who goes home.
