Gordon Ramsay ‘promises’ his kids won’t ever date the Beckham children
Bad news for anyone hoping for a Ramsay-Beckham family dynasty in the future, because Gordon Ramsay has “promised” his kids will never date the Beckham clan.
Well, the course of true love never did run smooth, did it?
Chatting to The Sun about his long-time friendship with the Beckhams, Gordon revealed the two families have a very similar approach to parenting…
“[T]he connection is our ambition to get all eight children through school, college, university, and then dust ourselves down, when the kids are in their 20s, as having been decent parents,” he said.
But despite the close-knit relationship between their children, there’s no chance of any romance blossoming as long as Gordon has his way.
“Three girls and a boy and three boys and a girl, you’d be amazed at the synergy,” he admitted. “We’ve promised that no one dates anybody, and so far…”
Mentioning his 17-year-old daughter Holly, Gordon added: “If Holly said, ‘Yeah, Brooklyn [Beckham] and I…’, it would be ‘No, Holly’.” Thwarted.
Aside from keeping a close eye on his children’s love life, Gordon recently finished his week-long stint as host of The Nightly Show.
ITV’s attempt at recreating the successes of the US late-night chat show has come under fire for its awkward production and choice of hosts, but here at Digital Spy we thought Gordon did a fine old job.
Despite a spot of technical difficulties, an impressive 16 f-bombs and a drop in audience numbers, The Nightly Show produced one of its most genuinely funny skits under Ramsay’s watch.
