Gordon Ramsay has shared his excitement following the news that his daughter Holly is engaged to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.

Holly expressed her joy and love for her fiancé in a heartfelt Instagram post, describing him as her “best friend.” She wrote: “I truly cannot put into words how I am feeling right now. I still remember how big my smile was the morning I got home from my first date with you. Thank you for letting the little girl inside of me feel loved, seen, and happier than ever. In response, Gordon Ramsay congratulated the couple, saying: “Congratulations to you both! We’re over the moon. Enjoy this moment! Welcome to the family, Adam Peaty.”

Adam Peaty also shared his thoughts on the engagement, praising Holly as a “gentle, caring, and beautiful woman.” He wrote: “You have been with me when I’ve been at my lowest and helped me understand myself to navigate my own darkness. You have also celebrated the highs, which have been so many, as for the first time in my life, I’m happy with the man I’ve become. Your family has always treated me so generously with their time, emotion, and trust. I can’t wait to be joined with them too. I’ve always believed that when two people are engaged and later married, we are no longer two people but join as one, and it’s the biggest privilege to share that with you.”

The engagement marks a joyous occasion for the Ramsay family, and all seems well in their world. Adam Peaty recently secured a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, bringing his total medal count to six, with an equal number of silver and gold medals.

Interestingly, Peaty appeared on “Strictly Come Dancing” in the same season as Holly’s sister, Tilly Ramsay. Peaty and his dance partner Katya Jones were the sixth couple eliminated, while Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin were the ninth to leave the competition. The series was ultimately won by Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice, who became particularly memorable for their dance to “Symphony,” which featured a poignant moment when the sound was cut out.
