A million more Ramsay projects are on the way, however
Gordon Ramsay has many shows on TV right now, but Kitchen Nightmares is not one of them. After attempting to save a few too many unsalvageable restaurants, the famous curse word-loving chef decided to kill that series a few years ago. “I got fed up with Kitchen Nightmares because I was getting s–t,” the chef recently remarked. “So I woke up one morning and I thought ‘F–k it, I’m done.’” Now, Ramsay regrets this decision, telling the Daily News: “Yes, it was wrong to pull my own show off air, but that’s it.”
The good news for fans of that early Ramsay endeavor is that he’s planning to bring Kitchen Nightmares back in some form, perhaps under a different name, with a tweaked format. “The biggest demand over the last four years is for Kitchen Nightmares (to come back) and what I am putting together is a return of something magical,” Ramsay says. The chef also notes that this will be, “Way, way, way better than Kitchen Nightmares, but along those lines.”
Gordon is currently wrapping up his summer series The F Word, and he’s in the middle of a season of MasterChef, which also has a kid-centric spinoff. And then, of course, there’s Hell’s Kitchen, the Ramsay-hosted competition that returns at the end of September for its 17th season. Fox Television Group CEO Dana Walde also tells the NYDN: “We have a few different things in development with Gordon right now and we conceivably could see something new in the not too distant future.”
Apparently, the network recently green-lit “several new shows with him,” So get ready to see Gordon Ramsay on your television every night from now until the end of time.
