Have you ever fantasised about going overseas just to try Hell’s Kitchen’s chef, Gordon Ramsay’s signature dish? Well, you’re in luck. Gordon Ramsay is bringing his dishes here to Malaysia with the opening of his first restaurant.
Sunway Resorts will host the world-renowned celebrity chef’s first restaurant – Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill – which will also be Ramsay’s first all-day dining restaurant outside Mayfair, London. According to a daily, RM 240 million in renovation works is underway to make the restaurant happen.
The restaurant will be located at the lobby level of Sunway Resort will feature iconic contemporary interiors, creating an inviting ambience, floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of the lagoon, and a private dining room, setting the stage for intimate events.
The restaurant will offer different all-day menu offering everything from snacks and light bites, to Gordon Ramsay’s signature dishes such as Beef Wellington and Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Ramsay is a British chef, restaurateur, television personality and writer. Ramsay founded his global restaurant group, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, in 1997. It has been awarded 16 Michelin stars in total and currently holds a total of seven.
Ramsay is also known for his bluntness, as well as fiery temper, strict demeanour, and frequent use of profanity. He is best known for presenting TV programmes about competitive cookery and food, such as the British series Hell’s Kitchen (2004), Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares (2004–2009) and The F Word (2005–2010), the latter winning the BAFTA for Best Feature at the 2005 British Academy Television Awards, and the American versions of Hell’s Kitchen (2005–present), Kitchen Nightmares (2007–2014), MasterChef (2010–present), MasterChef Junior (2013–present), as well as Hotel Hell (2012–2016), Gordon Behind Bars (2012), and 24 Hours to Hell and Back (2018–present).
