According to ABC and TV Guide, ABC is not going to air the next, new episode 17 of Grey’s Anatomy tonight, April 9, 2026, and for a couple more Thursday nights for some unknown reason.
On a more positive note, we did track down the official air date for the new episode 17 from the ABC people. According to their official episode 17 press release details, ABC is currently scheduled to finally dish up the new episode 17 on Thursday night, April 30, 2026 in its usual, 9 pm central standard time slot. So, certainly try to remember that very important date and time if you can.
In the meantime, we’re hearing from TV Guide that ABC is going to fill in tonight’s empty time slot with a repeat episode of their new crime/drama/comedy series, “R.J. Decker.” It will be the 3rd one for this current, premiere season 1 titled, “The Needle and the Damage Done.”
ABC’s official description for this repeat episode 3 of R.J. Decker season 1 reads like this, “RJ is recruited by Emi to investigate the disappearance of a wealthy rehab tycoon’s son. Mel and Catherine discover they have different views on parenting and finances.”
Next Thursday night, April 16, 2026, ABC will air another repeat episode of R.J. Decker. It will be the 6th one for this current season 1 titled, “Brenner’s Back.” ABC’s official description for it reads like this, “R.J. helps a young woman uncover the truth behind her boyfriend’s sudden death. Meanwhile, a dangerous figure from R.J.’s past resurfaces, bent on revenge.”
After the April 16, 2026 episode, you guys will need to check your local listings to see what ABC has got planned for the April 23, 2026 empty time slot.
Again, ABC confirmed that the next, new episode 17 of Grey’s Anatomy’s current season 22 is scheduled to finally make it to the air on Thursday night, April 30, 2026 in its usual, 9 pm central standard time slot.
