Has Bobby Left Tracker? Eric Graise’s Ongoing Season 2 Absence Raises Concerns

Bobby Exley continues to be absent in Tracker season 2, and now, it has officially become a cause for concern. While Justin Hartley is the titular character of the hit CBS procedural, the show has a few other actors that comprise its ensemble — most of whom help Colter remotely in his work. That includes Eric Graise’s tech genius, who is an original Tracker cast member. He provides the self-confessed rewardist with information that will help him crack the case, and for the most part, whatever Bobby supplies Colter becomes the key to tracking down the latter’s subjects.

Tracker season 2 more or less maintains the same format as its record-breaking debut year. Velma supplies Colter with the string of cases that is worth it to work on, Reenie steps in for any kind of legal woes, while Bobby takes care of the online sleuthing and research that could give Colter a better sense of what’s really going on. That said, while the first two characters have continued their responsibilities, it seems like Bobby just disappeared out of nowhere. Skipping a single episode is okay, but it understandably becomes a concern when it becomes a trend.

Bobby Continues To Be Absent In Tracker Season 2

Tracker’s Team Is Missing Its Tech Genius

For the third consecutive episode in Tracker season 2, Bobby remains nowhere to be seen, as his cousin, Randy continues to perform his role in Colter’s operations. This means that the show’s resident tech genius has missed 3 out of the 4 outings that have been released in 2025. Bobby first missed Tracker season 2, episode 10, “Nightingale,” which was when Chris Lee’s character was introduced. It was also then when the show gave a brief explanation about where the character is — apparently, he is out to deal with some family issues.

As someone who tracks missing people for a living, one would assume that Colter would be more concerned about what’s happening to Bobby.

That was an acceptable explanation at that time, but as the year continues, the lack of update about Bobby is being increasingly suspicious. In Tracker season 2, episode 13, “Monster,” the matter isn’t even up brought at all. As someone who tracks missing people for a living, one would assume that Colter would be more concerned about what’s happening to Bobby. It’s possible that there have been conversations off-screen about his predicament, but there’s simply no benefit to doing that, as it will only create unnecessary concern for fans, which is what’s happening.

Why Bobby’s Absence Is Particularly Concerning In Tracker Season 2

Colter Heavily Relies On Bobby’s Work

There are three reasons why Bobby’s disappearance is particularly worrying. Firstly, among everyone in the team, he is arguably the most vital to Colter’s operations. Hartley’s hero can find his own case, relieving Velma of her duties, and he could also reach out to a different lawyer if Reenis is busy. However, Colter relies solely on Bobby, and whoever he chooses to substitute for him, for information. Secondly, Tracker continues to dance around Teddi’s exit. If they could do that to Robin Weigert, it’s possible that they could also do that to Graise’s character.

Finally, while Bobby has only been out for 3 episodes, it’s likely that he has been gone for far longer than that. Time passes differently in Tracker, since Colter spends a few days, at least, solving a case, and only travels around the country by land. At this point, Colter should have gotten a substantial update about his situation.
