We’ve been waiting for this day to come for some time now on Days of Our Lives, ever since Stephanie started worrying over ticking off an ex or two with her book, One Stormy Night. Well, it’s now not only published, but it’s a bona fide best seller. And while everyone assured Stephanie that she was anonymous, it looks like someone may have recognized some steamy details from their past in the book.
Because at the end of Friday’s episode, just as Stephanie and Alex headed into his (well, now their) apartment an ominous figure showed up out in the hallway, One Stormy Night clutched in their hand. Now, that could just be a random stalker, but Body and Soul already went that path not that long ago, and we don’t see the writers repeating it.
Our guess? That’s Jeremy Horton, the son of Mike Horton, returning to Salem for the first time since 2007! Well, his name, specifically, has been coming up ever since One Stormy Night was headed for publication. Stephanie tried desperately to scrub details of their time together from the book, but to no avail. And Steve even brought up Jeremy when he worried over Steph getting involved with Alex.
And what better time for him to come back, demanding answers as to why intimate details were thrown into this book, than just as Alex and Steph move in together?
Part of her hesitation sprung up from her and Chad falling apart when they moved in together, but she also mentioned her rocky history with guys. And while Everett/Bobby was a mess, we’re guessing Jeremy left a bigger scar on Stephanie and is more along the lines of who she was talking about.
Still, she and Alex are taking things to the next level, despite her reservations, so if ever was the time for Jeremy to show up and throw a wrench in things, it would be now!
