Jay seeing ghosts will change the entire way that Ghosts crafts stories in season 4. Jay’s inability to see Woodstone’s supernatural inhabitants is a considerable part of the show over its first three seasons. Once he can finally interact with them, there’s much more Ghosts can do with its narrative. Jay makes it clear that he’s lonely after moving to Woodstone B&B, despite his love for Samantha. If he starts seeing ghosts, the series will open the door for him to form more relationships and find additional meaning in his day-to-day life.
The series previously teased that Jay may be able to see ghosts ahead of Ghosts season 2.
In Ghosts season 2, episode 1, “Spies,” Jay recovers from an accident and thinks he might be able to see ghosts. He’s excited by the prospect, but he discovers that he’s wrong. In Ghosts season 4, Jay will finally have his moment. The series sets up its big twist by teasing it earlier, and it’s bound to be more exciting after the wait. The biggest thing to look forward to is the friendship between Jay and Pete. The two admire one another, but they currently communicate through Sam. It’ll be nice to see their relationship evolve once Jay can see him.
Now that Jay can interact with the eccentric cohort of spirits that inhabit his home, there’s no shortage of hijinks he can get into.
This update to Ambudkar’s character could lead to other enthralling developments for the CBS series, too, including a perfect Ghosts cameo. Now that Jay can interact with the eccentric cohort of spirits that inhabit his home, there’s no shortage of hijinks he can get into. Needless to say, Ghosts season 4 will be hauntingly good.
