I Love Lucy is a beloved sitcom that first aired back in 1951. The series has many accolades under its belt, including being the most-watched show in the US for multiple seasons. Now, you can check them out for free if you know where to look.
You can use several ad-supported streaming services without spending a penny, and Pluto TV now has the rights to I Love Lucy. This means you can watch shows on the service as long as you don’t mind the occasional advert break.
Pluto TV offers a couple of ways to watch the show. There’s a live channel that plays through all seasons on a loop. Besides the ad breaks, the broadcast isn’t broken up by any other TV show. Oddly enough, the “On Demand” section only has Seasons 1 and 2 available at the time of writing. The other Seasons may appear in the future, but we don’t know for sure.
It’s also worth mentioning that I Love Lucy on Pluto TV seems to be region-locked. If you’re trying to access the service from the UK, for example, the show won’t appear unless you’re using a VPN.
There are also other sitcoms from yesteryear available, like Star Trek: Deep Space 9, Charmed, and Matlock.
‘I Love Lucy’ Is Also Available On Other Services
If you don’t want to use Pluto.TV, you can try Crackle instead. The service only seems to have Season 5 and 6 available, but it’s worth checking to see if this changes in the future. Crackle only broadcasts in the USA but is free to watch without a subscription if you don’t mind adverts.
Streaming service ad breaks can get pretty egregious, so if you don’t mind a premium service, there are a few options for your I Love Lucy fix. You may even have some of these already without knowing the show is available.
You can watch all I Love Lucy episodes on Paramount +, Amazon Premium, Roku, and YouTube Primetime. Frustratingly, all of these services also have the same geo-lock restrictions as the ad-based ones, so you may have to get creative if you want to watch from outside the States.
