Kevin Costner is everywhere nowadays. Earlier this month, the 70-year-old actor was at the Super Bowl with Pete Davidson. Then, Livvy Dunne featured him around nine (!) images deep in an Instagram photo dump alongside her boyfriend, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes. This past weekend, he sat next to Cher and Jenna Ortega at SNL50. Can’t blame a man for living his damn life!
From what I’ve seen on social media this month, no one else knows how to react to the Costner’s sudden omnipresence either. Fans have apparently spent the past few days gawking at Costner’s completely normal reaction to Cher signing “If I Could Turn Back Time.” Costner’s disgruntled face during SNL50’s joke about Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni was certainly livelier than that. As for the media, everyone has a take about the increasingly chaotic life of the former Yellowstone star. Page Six dubbed his friendship with Davidson “Pevin.” No thank you.
Me? I’m still wondering just how in the hell Costner found himself sandwiched between Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte, and Jenna Ortega at SNL50. During a sketch that made its way off the stage and into the celebrity crowd, the two former SNL castmates crushed Costner and the Wednesday star together as they went in for a kiss. Honestly, it was tough to tell how involved the two actors were with the bit. Costner and Ortega both looked very uncomfortable—and rightly so. They also could have just been playing along. Who knows!
Costner doesn’t talk to press very often, but I’m offering my friendship services if he’s looking to hang out with someone who is a little less online. The man could use a break. Call me, Kevin.
