Inside the Love Lives of the Tracker Cast (Including the Couple Who Met on a Soap Opera!)

On Tracker, Justin Hartley’s character uses his survivalist skills to locate missing people, but the one thing the actor doesn’t have to go looking for in real life is love.

The CBS series, now in its third season, with new episodes airing on Sundays, follows Colter Shaw (Hartley), a lone-wolf rewardist whose relationships are complicated and often take a backseat to his job, which sometimes gets dicey.

In season 1, fans watched as Colter failed to launch a romance with his lawyer, Reenie Green (Fiona Rene), despite their undeniable chemistry. Last season, Colter’s off-and-on romantic partner for over a decade, Camille Picket (Floriana Lima), stepped onto the scene, and his brother, Russell Shaw (Jensen Ackles), was vocal about his crush on Reenie.

“We can’t argue that [Russell is] charming and attractive, but Reenie has some intense standards,” actress Rene told PEOPLE in November 2024. “I think he would have to work very hard to get to a place where she would give into that.”

Off-screen, several cast members have found partners who check all their boxes, including Hartley, whose wife, actress Sofia Pernas, has appeared in several episodes of Tracker.

Ackles’ wife, actress Danneel Ackles, whom he’s been married to since 2010, hasn’t joined the series, but the two worked together on the actor’s hit TV show Supernatural.

Here’s everything to know about the real-life partners of the Tracker cast.

Tracker‘s leading man, Justin Hartley, who plays the ruggedly handsome Colter Shaw, married his wife, Sofia Pernas, in 2021.

Back in 2015, Hartley and Pernas met on the set of The Young and the Restless, where their characters were involved in an on-screen romance. However, the couple didn’t start dating until 2020, following his split from Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause.

Hartley and Pernas have shared the small screen once again on Tracker. The actress portrayed Colter’s rival tracker and one-time lover, Billie Matalon.

“I don’t know if I’d call it a love story, but there’s a romantic spark and chemistry between [Colter and Billie],” the This Is Us alum told USA Today in March 2025.

He continued, “I enjoy being around [Sofia]. I’m having the time of my life with this show. I love it. To be able to share it with the people you love makes it even better.”

In addition to being an award-winning actor, Hartley is a dad to daughter Isabella, whom he shares with his ex-wife Lindsay Korman-Hartley. Pernas told Page Six in April 2022 that she is in awe of her “wise” stepdaughter.

Jensen Ackles, who portrays Colter’s brother, Russell, married his wife, Danneel Ackles, in 2010 after four years of dating.

The couple have appeared in several projects together over the years, including 2007’s Ten Inch Hero and Jensen’s hit TV series Supernatural. More recently, they launched Chaos Machine Productions in 2020.

Ackles and Danneel currently live in Connecticut with their three kids: Justice, Zeppelin and Arrow. The family made the move in 2023, so they could be closer to Toronto, where Jensen shoots The Boys.

“I’ve got a really, really quiet, peaceful life,” Ackles told PEOPLE in July 2025. “When I go home, I’m home. I’m not Jensen the actor. I’m Jensen the husband, the dad, the friend, the brother, the son.”

“I think having that stability in my personal life has really given me a good grounding,” he added. “A good foundation for what I do.”

The couple previously lived in Austin, and they are still co-owners of Family Business Beer Co., located in Texas.

In a March 2024 Instagram post, Ackles paid tribute to Danneel on her birthday, writing, “My incredible partner in life and the one who keeps the show running. You are a force of nature.”
