Is Danny Facing Trouble in Blue Bloods Season 14, Episode 14?

Things aren’t looking great for Danny in Blue Bloods season 14, episode 14, but don’t worry—his job isn’t on the chopping block. It may seem that way at first in the promo, but it’s not a matter of Danny being fired. Instead, he’s facing a more personal setback: the award he was set to receive is suddenly rescinded.

The reason? Grace Edwards (played by Lori Loughlin), a widow whose husband, an NYPD officer, was killed in the line of duty, has a longstanding grudge against Danny. Grace believes that certain officers, including Danny, have acted recklessly in the past, and she’s using her influence to block him from receiving the honor, despite his many years of dedicated service.

In this episode, Frank steps in to defend his son, but things get complicated as personal feelings cloud professional decisions.

Meanwhile, Danny and Baez are investigating the murder of a fellow detective, who was killed while probing an art gallery suspected of dealing in counterfeit artwork. The case quickly escalates as it becomes clear someone in the gallery is trying to cover up a much bigger crime.

Another returning character is Lauren Patten, reprising her role as Rachel Witten, Eddie’s former partner. Rachel, now working as a social worker, is caught up in a situation where she crossed professional boundaries to help a mentally ill client get the care they needed. Eddie is torn over Rachel’s decision, especially since the client’s need for help was urgent, but the rules were bent to make it happen.
