Jason Hayes in Danger: Could SEAL Team’s Hero Be Forced to Step Down in Season 5?

SEAL TEAM is back for its fifth season, with the first episode focusing on the emotional state of each character. Jason Hayes is once again in the spotlight, only this time he’s having a hard time at work.

SEAL Team: Preview Released Ahead of Season Five
SEAL Team is known for its dramatic character arcs as well as its action scenes. Each member of the team gets their time to shine, but Jason Hayes (played by David Boreanaz) is the star of most episodes. In the fourth season on CBS, he began suffering from headaches and memory loss, which has become a persistent issue in the fifth season. This could threaten his position on Bravo Team.

Is Jason Hayes Demoted in Season Five?
It will come as no surprise to SEAL Team fans to know that the team is going through a lot of emotions at the start of season five.

However, Jason Hayes is suffering, not just emotionally but physically, especially after the events of season four. Now, the team is facing a new mission that will take them to North Korea, and in the first episode of season five, each member of Bravo Team prepares for their launch.

Throughout the episode, Jason can be seen suffering from a headache, which Clay (Max Thieriot) appears to be concerned about. However, Jason is the most worried as he doesn’t want to be the reason some of his team members get injured or even die.

The stress of the job has been building for Jason throughout the first four seasons, and it looks like it will come to a head in season five. Clay tries to reassure Jason that things aren’t as bad as they seem, but that doesn’t stop him from worrying.

If it turns out that Jason’s headaches are interfering with his work, he’ll likely be demoted or even fired from the team. His headaches have led to some memory loss, which will have major consequences for the rest of the team.

It’s clear that Jason has suffered a TBI (traumatic brain injury), which he’ll need to seek treatment for. While some forms of TBI can be permanent, people can recover from them. How this will play out over the course of season five remains to be seen, though Bravo’s main concern right now is their next mission.
