Jeremy Clarkson has shared a “rough” update with Clarkson’s Farm fans ahead of season four launching on Amazon Prime. The third season of the much-loved programme launched on the streaming service last month and the presenter has since confirmed that filming for the next series is underway.
Clarkson Farm sees Jeremy attempt to run his 1,000-acre farm in the Cotswolds with the help of his girlfriend Lisa, farmer and friend Caleb Kooper, Gerald, and Cheerful Charlie. The series tackles the ever-unpredictable world of British farming and viewers have come to know and love Diddly Squat Farm and those who make it run.
The third series has seen Jeremy and Lisa navigate disagreements with the council and the death of their beloved piglets, and now Jeremy has revealed the running of the farm is under threat again due to the bleak summer weather the UK is currently experiencing, with reports that more rain is on the way.
Sharing an ariel photo of Diddly Squat Farm on Instagram showing how the rain has already ruined some of this year’s plans, Jeremy told fans: “It’s going to be a rough year. All that seed sowed, drowned with the constant rain.”
Plenty of fans shared their thoughts, as one agreed: “Another year of nonprofit farming. This is probably the biggest thing that Diddly Squat has communicated to the public over the seasons, farming _doesn’t_ make money.”
While another said: “It just seems too wrong to “like” this post. My deepest sympathies,” and a third commented: “Absolutely love this show raised awareness to what it’s really like to be a farmer and on the back of that I have started buying my produce from farm shops so I believe this is all for the greater good.”
It comes after the 64-year-old revealed filming was underway for series four last month but also admitted he’d been forced to halt proceedings after spotting a drone hovering over his land. Taking to Instagram Jeremy shared shared an image of the helicopter’s route with his eight million followers and wrote: “Filming paused till this f******* b***ers off.” You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
