Bridgerton actor Jonathan Bailey, who portrays Anthony Bridgerton, revealed at the Time100 Next event that there will be a scene in season 4 that will surprise fans. The star claimed that it will “blow fans’ minds” when the episode is released.
A post on Time’s official Instagram page showed Bailey discussing Bridgerton season 4 with a reporter. The actor gushed about the upcoming installment’s first episode, stating, “I’ve seen the first episode, and it’s phenomenal. It’s really, really good.”
Bailey continued to commend the season’s premiere episode, going into perhaps a little too much detail. He told Time, “There’s one shot that happens quite early on in the episode that will blow the fans’ minds. It takes everyone on a journey to new parts of the household… It’s brilliant.” He then quickly stopped himself from revealing anything else and coyly teased, “Oh no, I’ve just said too much.”
While he didn’t drop any more details about the storyline, he did praise his fellow co-stars, both old and new. He called Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton), who has been in the series since the very beginning, “phenomenal.” He also said the same about the new actors joining the cast, Yerin Ha (Sophie Baek) and Katie Leung (Lady Araminta Gun).
Bridgerton season 4 will mainly follow Benedict and Sophie’s romance. The pair meet at a masquerade ball where Sophie, a maid, is disguised as the “Lady in Silver.” Not knowing her true identity, Benedict eventually falls for her.
Bailey will return as Anthony for the fourth chapter of the hit Netflix series. However, not too much is known about how his character will fit into the story or how big of a role he’ll play.
Bridgerton season 4 will be released in two parts on Netflix. The first installment will come out on January 29, 2026, and the second will premiere on February 26, 2026.
