Jubal’s Life on the Line: Don’t Miss the FBI Season 7 Finale’s Shocking Threat!

In the FBI Season 7 finale, a serious problem is heading for the New York Field Office. Everyone has been so focused on handling external threats that they missed one developing in-house. “After Jubal (Jeremy Sisto) narrowly escapes a calculated assault on a secret FBI office, the team discovers an anti-government group has infiltrated the FBI. Unsure of whom to trust, the team must work in the shadows to unmask the culprits threatening the sanctity of the New York field office,” the logline for FBI Season 7, Episode 22, “A New Day,” teases. In the episode on CBS tonight, May 20, the curated effort to take out some FBI agents exposes a large threat at play that could change everything about how the team operates. Ahead of the episode, CBS released a sneak peek video that shows just how deep the conspiracy goes.

Jubal has been in dangerous situations before, but the one he finds himself in during the video below is different. He is hurt and is running away from his attacker, so he seeks shelter inside a convenience store. He asks the store owner to call first responders for help, but he decides to give himself first aid before they arrive. Soon after the store’s bell announces a visitor, Jubal overhears a woman’s voice asking after him. CCTV shows an FBI agent, which might be good in most cases, but not in this case. Jubal is also out of ammunition.

Indeed, the woman, Maxine, is an FBI agent, but she is part of an underground group, Forefront, that is aiming to conduct a terror event inside the bureau. FBI Season 7 has seen some focus on conspiracy groups and domestic terrorism, which could be an extension of these activities. It doesn’t help that the assistant director of the FBI has been acting shady, and Duke Ducoyle promised that something big would be coming at the end of FBI Season 7, Episode 21, “Devoted.”

‘FBI’ Season 7 Finale Will Feature a Life-or-Death Cliffhanger

“We’re kind of calling it our little Fast and Furious episode where we have to find a new location, a new place, and kind of work off the grid and solve a crime,” series star Zeeko Zaki told TV Insider about the finale. “It’s really fun that we kind of get to do these new things in our show now with our new writers. Hopefully, the audience buys it, loves it, and wants to see more of it,” he added. As is customary, the finale will feature a cliffhanger and “it is a life-or-death cliffhanger,” Zaki said, adding, “that’s all I’ll say.”

Watch “A New Day” tonight to see how everything plays out.
