Kandi Burruss Sheds New Light on Her Broadway Career Amid Divorce: “Trying to Stay Focused”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, Kandi Burruss, is sharing an update on her business life and her family today.
Kandi Burruss is “trying to stay focused” on her latest career move amid her divorce from Todd Tucker. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum is about to begin a run performing in the Broadway musical, & Juliet, and she is doing all of the preparation for it.
Kandi took to Instagram on Tuesday, Dec. 2, where she revealed that she was in NYC preparing for the musical before her run begins on Thursday, Dec. 11. Kandi first posted a photo of herself standing outside of the Stephen Sondheim Theatre with her mom, Mama Joyce Jones, before going backstage to do a wig fitting. In the photo, Kandi can be seen wearing a bright red, curly wig.
She also posted a video of her talking about her new look and her new role as Angélique in & Juliet. “Getting fitted for my character’s wig and she has red hair,” she explained in the video. “Red hair Kandi, y’all already know what that means.”
Kandi took to the caption of the post, where she opened up about this latest career move. “I’ve been trying to stay focused,” she wrote. “So much to learn before the start of my run as Angélique in [& Juliet].”
When is Kandi Burruss performing in & Juliet on Broadway?
Kandi will take over the role of Angélique in & Juliet on Broadway starting on Thursday, Dec. 11 through Sunday, March 8, 2026.
Kandi took to her Instagram account in October, where she expressed her excitement about heading back to Broadway. “I’ve been wanting to go back to the Broadway stage for a while now & I’m so excited to join the cast of [& Juliet],” she wrote in the caption of the post. “This is gonna be so fun. Y’all gotta come see me in NYC!”
“Happy birthday to my favorite girl [Mama Joyce]!” she wrote in the caption of the post. “I’m thankful to have had a momma like you to push me, protect me, love me, & support me! You are that girl!!!! Let’s make this year fun & give you plenty reasons to smile! Everybody give [Mama Joyce] some bday love!”
