Keegan-Michael Key Leads All-Star Lineup in Elsbeth’s Final Season 1 Episodes

A new clip from Elsbeth highlights the new stars that will feature in the rest of the season. Starring Carrie Preston as the titular Elsbeth Tascioni, The Good Wife spinoff series is a comedy crime show about an unconventional attorney who idiosyncratically helps make observations to catch criminals alongside the NYPD. Elsbeth season 1 began its run on February 29 and will continue to run on Thursdays from April 25 to May 23.

Now, CBS reveals a new trailer for Elsbeth highlighting the celebrity guest appearances that will populate the rest of the season. The trailer begins with Elsbeth interacting with a new couple, explaining her role. She then comes into contact with Keegan-Michael Key, who Elsbeth informs about her knack for solving murder cases. Key and Preston are later seen dancing together. The trailer, which can be seen above, also features upcoming guest stars Elizabeth Lail, Laura Benanti, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Where Have You Seen The Elsbeth Guest Stars Before?

From this brief Elsbeth trailer, it looks like the end of season 1 is going to be filled with amusing and charming guest appearances. In advance of the finale, Elsbeth was recently renewed for season 2. This means that the series is doing well, and its success is further evidenced by the fact that they have been able to bring in so many notable guest stars. These appearances will even further excite audiences for the conclusion of Elsbeth season 1 and the upcoming season 2.

Key looks particularly charming in Elsbeth. Best known for his comedy roles, Key has recently proven himself to be a strong television actor in the Apple TV+ series Schmigadoon!. Other notable comedy stars include Ferguson, who is best known for playing Mitchell Pritchett on Modern Family. Ferguson’s other recent roles include parts in Cocaine Bear and the Netflix special Ivy + Bean: Doomed to Dance.

Lail is also a successful TV actor, having played Guinevere Beck in the series You and Anna on Once Upon a Time. Last year, Lail also played a part in the hit Blumhouse horror film Five Nights at Freddy’s. Benanti’s TV roles include playing Alura Zor-El on Supergirl and Jane on Life & Beth. Last year, she played one of the main characters in the raunchy Jennifer Lawrence comedy No Hard Feelings. These acclaimed guest stars will join forces with Elsbeth’s recurring cast members to round out a successful season 1.
