Kevin Costner’s Yellowstone follow-up is revealed in new images from The Gray House. One of Prime Video’s early 2026 releases, the eight-episode series focuses on the extraordinary true story of the unsung women who helped turn the tide of the American Civil War in favor of the Union, offering a unique spin on the resurgent category of Western shows.

With original music from Lainey Wilson, Willie Nelson, Shania Twain, Killer Mike, Yolanda Adams, and Jon Bon Jovi for the Leslie Lewis-produced soundtrack, The Gray House is executive produced by Costner via Territory Pictures. It marks a relatively rare producing effort for Costner on the small screen after his departure from Yellowstone and John Dutton, though he won’t be one of the main cast members.

Prime Video has now released the first look photos of The Gray House, which will release all eight episodes on February 26, 2026. The images, included in the gallery below, highlight several of the cast members and pull back the curtain on the different dynamics at play when the Western arrives in just a few months. The Gray House orbits around a set of different characters: there’s a Virginia socialite, her relentless mother, a formerly enslaved ally, and Richmond’s most infamous courtesan. They are the four women operating at the heart of Confederate power. Together, they work to grow their Underground Railroad operation into an effective espionage network.

With a cast that includes Mary-Louise Parker, Daisy Head, Amethyst Davis, Paul Anderson, Ian Duff, Hannah James, Robert Knepper, Christopher McDonald, Colin Morgan, Rob Morrow, Colin O’Donoghue, and Sam Trammell, with Keith David and Ben Vereen, also starring, these characters will risk their lives and freedom as they attempt preserve the nation’s future and safeguard American Democracy.

Along with familiar faces, many of whom are notable for their breakout roles on television and on stage, The Gray House is accomplished behind the camera. It is written by the Emmy-nominated scribe Leslie Greif, in addition to Darrell Fetty and John Sayles, with all eight episodes helmed by Academy Award–nominated director Roland Joffé. The original music was composed by John Debney and Bruce Broughton, with Greg Cahn as Music Supervisor.

Costner is not the only actor producing the series. Morgan Freeman and Lori McCreary of Revelations Entertainment also executive produce alongside Rod Lake and Howard Kaplan representing Territory Pictures, and Greif producing through Big Dreams Entertainment. After a strong 2025 for Prime Video, the new show has all the markings of an absolute Western breakout.
