American entertainment outlet Variety has reported that Korean-Australian actress Yerin Ha will join the upcoming fourth season of the hit Netflix historical romance series Bridgerton. Ha, who is best known for playing Kwan Ha in the Paramount+ series Halo, has been cast as Sophie Beckett – the love interest of Luke Thompson’s Benedict Bridgerton.

The fourth season of Bridgerton will adapt the third instalment of Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton novel series: An Offer From A Gentleman. In the original book, Sophie Beckett is the illegitimate child of an earl and ends up falling in love with Benedict Bridgerton – the second son of the noble Bridgerton family.

Born in Sydney, Australia to Korean parents, Yerin Ha is also the grandaughter of prominent South Korean actress and former politician Son Sook.

Since its debut in 2020, Netflix’s adaptation of Bridgerton has become one of the streaming platform’s most popular series – garnering high viewership ratings and multiple accolades. According to showrunner Jess Brownell, the fourth season of Bridgerton is expected to arrive sometime in 2026.
