“I don’t know if she was overlooked… I think that plays out well for cultural expectations of the girl for the ‘overlooked’ girl.

It was intentional that her journey was as it was, and it’s nice to see that it’s going to continue for Raegan on Georgie & Mandy and just grow deeper. We also know Missy’s history, and this just gives it more gravitas, more depth, and layers to who she becomes and why.”

That said, I also understand Barber’s defense of how her story was left in Young Sheldon. Missy’s Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage episode 2’s appearance certainly continues her rebellious arc. The character will have more appearances in the series, as her relationship with Georgie deepens. That said, I hope that they give her other arcs other than being just a “dumb teenager.”
