LATEST NEWS: Virgin River Fans Urge Netflix to Deliver This One Essential for Season Six

Fans of the beloved streaming drama Virgin River are voicing their hopes for the upcoming sixth season, urging Netflix to step up its promotional efforts.

The series follows Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), who moves to a charming Northern California town after a personal tragedy. There, she finds love with local bar owner Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) and builds friendships with the townsfolk. However, as hidden truths come to light, Mel realizes that small-town life has its complexities.

With the sixth season expected to premiere before the end of the year, one viewer recently took to Reddit to advocate for better marketing. They noted that the show has been overshadowed compared to other Netflix hits like Emily in Paris and Bridgerton, both of which received extensive promotional campaigns.

“Just putting it out there,” the fan wrote. “Netflix better promote Season 6 with plenty of visibility across all platforms. I started watching just before Season 5, and honestly, I don’t recall much promo love for Virgin River.”

They commended the cast for their own promotional efforts on social media, particularly Alexandra Breckenridge, who actively shares updates and recently launched a podcast with co-star Zibby Allen, who plays Jack’s sister Brie.

Despite Virgin River having a dedicated fanbase, major media interviews with the cast have been rare. One fan shared an exciting tidbit, noting, “Alex said on her podcast that they did a photoshoot for Season 6 for the first time ever! I feel like they’re planning to ramp up the promotion, but I’ll be surprised if it matches the level of Emily in Paris or Bridgerton.”

Another added, “I don’t watch those shows, but Martin Henderson is incredibly popular worldwide. One of my Virgin River groups has over 45K members who adore him. Netflix would do well to promote the show more.”

While the release date for Season 6 remains unconfirmed, fans are hopeful for an upcoming wave of promotional material once Netflix announces the premiere date.
