10 Most Exciting Things To Expect From Tracker’s Season 1 Finale
Here are 10 exciting things to look forward to in the Tracker season 1 finale, leaving viewers wondering how the first season ended. It’s hard to say exactly what will happen next for Justin Hartley’s Colter Shaw, but the first season left some open questions that will be resolved in the season finale. What is known is that the finale will follow Colter as he heads underwater to search for the missing daughter of his friend Lizzy Hawking, played by Hartley’s This Is Us co-star Jennifer Morrison. Hopefully, some of Colter’s storylines will be resolved, although it’s likely that the showrunners will leave a cliffhanger for Tracker season 2. The first season of Tracker followed Colter, a self-proclaimed “reward man,” and the rest of the Tracker cast as they solved missing persons cases of both strangers and close family and friends across the country for reward money.
Colter had support from his core team of Teddi (Robin Weigert) and Velma (Abby McEnany) Bruin, who scouted out potential cases for Colter to take on. He also had help from Bobby Exley (Eric Graise), who provided him with intelligence, and Reenie Greene (Fiona Rene), who assisted him with legal matters as his attorney (but often overstepped the bounds of his job). The newly released trailer for the season finale of Tracker reveals that Colter will be investigating the disappearance of a family friend’s daughter in the season finale. As such, episode 13, “The Storm,” will see Colter revisit an old connection to the Shaw family. Hartley revealed in an interview with Collider that his This Is Us co-star will be joining him on Tracker to play someone from deep within Colter’s past, and that this connection could open the door to uncovering the truth about his father.
One major detail that remains unclear heading into the season finale of Tracker is what happened to Colter’s father, Ashton Shaw (Lee Tergesen). What is known about Colter’s father is that he trained Colter and his siblings to be able to track animals and people, and survive just about anything. When Ashton tells the kids that they suddenly have to leave one night while Colter’s mother is away, it causes a family conflict that creates confusion around the cause of his death. The season finale could reveal what really happened that night and whether Colter can trust his brother in the future.
Colter’s father’s death remains unresolved due to a series of traumatic events that took place the night of his death. After getting angry at his kids, Ashton decides to leave home to sacrifice himself to whoever he believes is following him, and Russell goes looking for him shortly after. When Colter joins the hunt for his father, he finds him dead. His father suffered what appears to be a fatal fall from the edge of a cliff, but what happened remains unclear. For years, Colter has believed that Russell (Jensen Ackles) pushed his father to his death, but his brother insists otherwise.
