“Titanic” (1997)
DiCaprio and Winslet portrayed star-crossed lovers in James Cameron’s rendition of the 1912 sinking of the H.M.S. Titanic. The movie went on to win eleven (11) Oscars.
In Sam Mendes’ adaptation of Richard Yates’ novel, DiCaprio and Winslet portrayed a 1950s married couple living in their own brand of marital hell in the suburbs of Connecticut. Kate Winslet won a Golden Globe Award for her performance.
