Amy Carlson, who played Linda Reagan in the family police drama Blue Bloods for the first seven seasons, left the show unexpectedly, leaving fans devastated.
She shared the screen with Buffy the Vampire Slayer star James Marsters and Cagney and Lacey actress Tyne Daly.
Carlson has also played roles in The Village, Sunny Daze, Know Fear and Law and Order SVU as the wife of acting police chief Tommy McGrath (Terry Serpico) in season 25.

She was also seen in Netflix’s mystery drama The Society, which quickly gained a following despite being canceled after just one season.
In this series, Carlson portrayed the mother of main characters Allie (Kathryn Newton) and Cassandra Pressman (Rachel Keller), who were left to fend for themselves when all the adults mysteriously disappeared from their town.
Besides these roles, the star has appeared in a few short films, but not much else is known about her activities since leaving Blue Bloods.
Carlson doesn’t often post about her work on social media, instead choosing to share glimpses of her life with her two children, Lyla and Nigel.
