So, for the entirety of The Rookie episode, Tim and Lucy forego their tragic breakup by hooking up and sneaking into closets at Mid-Wilshire to make out. At the end of the hour, though, Lieutenant Grey calls Tim and Lucy into his office to scold them for not telling him they had gotten back together.

However, like Tim and Lucy previously promised, they laugh and claim it was just a joke, which results in Grey pulling a prank of his own by faking a heart attack. She was so apprehensive about the situation, but all those jitters were nowhere to be found in episode 12.
