“Missing Blue Bloods? Here Are 5 Crime Dramas to Fill the Void”

It’s been several months since Blue Bloods sadly aired its season 14 series finale on CBS, and many longtime fans are craving a crime drama series to watch in its place. While there are certainly a lot of police-centered series on TV these days, there are some shows that we think definitely stand out above the rest as must-watch programs.

Closer recommends five shows to watch if you’re missing the Reagan family’s Friday night dinners, including Justin Hartley‘s Tracker and other standouts.

‘Tracker’
Blue Bloods was led by TV legend Tom Selleck, and CBS’ Tracker presents a strong lead in Justin Hartley, who plays lone wolf survivalist Colter Shaw. While family was at the heart of Blue Bloods, it’s a major family mystery that plagues Colter and his siblings as he’s simultaneously traveling across the U.S. to earn rewards for solving missing persons cases. Tracker certainly delivers the thrill that Blue Bloods fans are missing now that the show is off the air, and includes a cast of memorable characters that complete Colter’s team.

‘The Hunting Party’
Melissa Roxburgh, who is also featured in Tracker, leads her own show, The Hunting Party, on NBC. The procedural crime drama follows a team of investigators who are tasked to capture dangerous killers. The stakes are high for the group on this show, which also stars Nick Wechsler and Patrick Sabongui. The season 1 finale will leave your jaw on the floor!

‘Elsbeth’
Elsbeth has got spunk and vibrancy! Carrie Preston‘s character certainly breathes new life into the world of crime series, putting a humorous spin on a classic police procedural model. The CBS show is certainly filled with twists and turns, and you may even find yourself smiling at times, just the way you would when watching a Reagan family dinner.

‘Long Bright River’
Amanda Seyfried‘s Long Bright River investigates the murders of women in Kensington, Philadelphia, while unpacking deeply seeded family trauma. Her character, Mickey Fitzpatrick, is not only determined to find the killer disrupting the city, but to help her sister find the right path after years of drug use. The show is centered around mystery and big revelations before coming to a head in the finale, as Mickey finally gets the answers she’s seeking.

‘On Call’
On Call, which stars Troian Bellisario, Brandon Larracuente and Lori Loughlin, sees the Long Beach Police Department in California respond to emergencies along with trying to solve a case of a fellow officer who was killed at a traffic stop. This show, like Blue Bloods, depicts the dangers of working in law enforcement, risks and rewards.
