According to her, it was the extreme suffering that made the character “Mother of Dragons” become stronger later on.
In the first part of Games of Thrones, the role of Daenerys Targaryen played by Emilia Clarke made the audience “wide-eyed” at the hot nude scenes of the “Mother of Dragons”, especially including scenes of her raped by warlord Khal Drogo.
Faced with discussions, praise and even criticism about these hot and somewhat violent scenes, the actress spoke up in a recent interview with Glamor magazine.
When asked why Khal Drogo raped Daenerys in this arranged marriage, the “Dragon mother” said: “That’s the Khal. But I think the later bed scenes are truly a source of inspiration and strength. He can’t rape me again. I will take control and show them things they have never seen before.”
Perhaps, that is the hidden strength of the character Daenerys Targaryen when pushed into the extreme of emotional suffering.
She added: “From our hearts, we are telling a story, you need to know part of this story to sympathize with Daenerys. You can see her being attacked by her brother, being raped by her violent husband… it’s the worst thing in the world that she goes through.”
However, this is not the first time Clarke has explained hot scenes in movies. During the 6 parts of the Game of Thrones series, the actress also had many revealing nude scenes, revealing her entire bust and even naked sex scenes.
During the times she shared in front of the camera, Clarke said she wanted everyone to know and acknowledge her acting ability, not just pay attention to her sexy breasts.
