The One Chicago shows on NBC have faced a lot of major cast exits this past year and an NBC executive is reacting to all of the changes.
NBCUniversal Entertainment’s President of Program Planning Strategy, Jeff Bader, is making sure fans know that there are no concerns over the exits and that a bright future is ahead for the shows.
In the past year, Chicago Fire lost longtime stars Kara Killmer, Eamonn Walker, and Alberto Rosende, Chicago PD said goodbye to Tracy Spiridakos, and Chicago Med star Dominic Rains won’t be returning.
So, what’s going on?
“It’s interesting, because every year there are cast changes, and every year someone asks the same question,” Jeff told TVLine about the status of the shows. “But [those shows] just keep going on.”
Jeff said that with all of the cast changes, “obviously it keeps the shows fresh.”
“Cast comes in, cast goes out…,” he said. “We’re thrilled with how the Chicagos do on Wednesday. We have no plans on changing anything on that night.”
Here’s a full explanation of why each Chicago Fire actor left the show, from first to most recent.
