
NBCUniversal unveiled its 2025-2026 television lineup as the network approaches its 100th anniversary.
Some highlights include new live event programming and the return of NBC mainstays like Law & Order and Saturday Night Live, as well as Chicago Wednesday. Jimmy Fallon will also host a new reality competition series, On Brand with Jimmy Fallon. The network slashed five series from its lineup, including the comedy shows Night Court and Lopez vs. Lopez, leaving a few slots open for new programming.
The announcement unveiled a tentative scripted programming schedule, with a couple of pilots duking it out for a permanent spot on the fall schedule.
Sitcoms St. Denis Medical and Happy’s Place have been renewed for NBC’s comedy lineup, as the second half of the new Monday and Friday comedy hour slots, respectively.
The first half of those slots will be filled by two of three pilots that may or may not make their way into the permanent lineup.
NBC announced a new series, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, starring comedian Tracy Morgan and Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe.
According to the network, the series follows a “disgraced former football player on a mission to rehabilitate his image. ” 30 Rock creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock will serve as executive producers.
Two other comedy pilots will be left to battle it out through ratings for an official spot on NBC’s fall lineup.
Stumble, a mockumentary series about a junior college cheerleading squad helmed by writers Liz and Jeff Astrof; and an untitled project from writer-producer Sierra Teller Ornelas, who also writes on St. Denis Medical, about the staff of a Native community center based in Oakland, California, have both been greenlit by the network.
NBC will later choose which pilot to pick up for the fall to add to its revamped comedy lineup, which will differ from Peacock, the network’s streaming service, content.
Other shows that got the boot include Suits LA, Found, and The Irrational. NBC also announced One Direction star Niall Horan and Country star Reba McEntire will be joining Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé for Season 28 of the singing competition series The Voice.
