First off, the bad news — if you’re NCIS‘ Kasie Hines, that is. The “feng shui” makeover that the team’s forensic scientist excitedly gave her lab in the most recent episode of the CBS drama is not a keeper, as you (and a sun-blinded Parker) may have suspected.
The sun glare gets her,” NCIS cast member Diona Reasonover confirmed for TVLine’s Keisha Hatchett at CBS’ Thursday-night fall schedule reveal party, as seen in the video above. “It is not permanent,” she added with a sigh.
On the brighter (though not literally brighter, of course) side, a big first awaits Kasie in the Season 21 finale, airing this Monday at 9/8c, which Reasonover shares at the 1:10 mark above. “I’m excited about it,” she said. “A little moment for me!”
While speaking with Reasonover, TVLine suggested that in the already-ordered Season 22, it may be time to check in on Kasie’s love life, which has been a bit dormant ever since she and Piper (played by Tess Aubert), one of the techs from the sub-basement, ended the relationship they started in Season 19.
“I want her to get into some online dating,” Reasonover pitched, “I want to see what her profile would look like.” (The actress admitted, though, that she is “out of the loop!” when it comes to today’s dating apps, given that she’s been married to writer/director Patricia Villetto for six years. “Is Coffee Meets Bagel still a thing…?” she asked.)
Even so, Reasonover had definite thoughts on dreamcasting for Kasie’s next romantic interest: “I don’t know, if Keke Palmer is available…?”
