As soon as fans saw that Michael dropped an update online, they immediately bombarded him with questions of what’s coming for NCIS: Tony and Ziva.
“Yesssssss, I need you guys back in my life. I’ve been re-watching all the old NCIS episodes before you left,” one person wrote in the comments. “I am not crying I am not crying I am NOT crying! 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️,” another declared. “Define ‘closer’, Michael. I’m trying to stay calm. 😁,” a different follower.
So, what exactly was the big news that Michael was teasing to his followers? Well, in a joint Instagram with TVLine the same day, the actor (who plays Tony DiNozzo) revealed that NCIS: Tony and Ziva will air in fall 2025 on Paramount+. The post also delivered by giving a first look at the new show … including a family photo featuring himself, Cote de Pablo (who plays Tony’s partner Ziva David) and Isla Gie, who plays the couple’s 12-year-old daughter Tali.
But the true pièce de résistance Michael shared with his social media audience came in the form of a first look featurette for NCIS: Tony and Ziva. Uploading the video on Instagram, folks got to see Tony and Ziva get back in action from across the world.
“Different continent. Same chemistry,” read the caption. “#TonyAndZiva are back on the case.”
