The latest NCIS: Los Angeles episode threw Callen and Sam right into the thick of the action without Kensi Blye and Marty Deeks by their sides.
NCIS Los Angeles is nearing its final-ever episode as the CBS drama looks set to end with a bang. As such, fans have been hoping the last few episodes would deliver the explosive action and gripping storylines. However, a number of episodes of the final season have aired without all of the OSP appearing – a trend which happened again in Sunday’s episode, Sleeping Dogs.
And now, fans have taken to social media to share their outrage once again after popular couple Kensi Blye (played by Daniela Ruah) and Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) failed to appear.
Instead, the episode explained they had gone to visit the aunt of foster child Rosa (Natalia Del Riego).
This left Sam (LL Cool J), Callen (Chris O’Donnell), Kilbride (Gerard McRaney) and co to get to the bottom of a series of murders and cryptic warnings sent from Hetty’s (Linda Hunt) last known location.
Despite the series addressing Kensi and Deeks’ absence and providing an explanation, it wasn’t enough to satisfy a number of viewers at home
Taking to Twitter during the instalment, Leo Schwartzer raged: “So, Kensi & Deeks are outta town visiting Rosa’s aunt. Yet another excuse the writers came up with for us not to see them together.
“This shows really gone off the rails. Wanna ‘justify’ the cancellation? Hurt Densi, the heart & soul of the show for 14 years. #Densi #NCISLA.”
And Cyprienne Arceneaux fumed: “So last week it was Callen who wasn’t on last week’s episode and this week it’s Kensi and Deeks.
“If this was a message from Hetty and Ops went into dark mode for this, I think I would need the whole team on this assignment #NCISLA.”
Meanwhile, @kwanfan1212 wasn’t pleased as they said: “Oh come on….no Densi at all tonight?!??!
“IT’S YOUR LAST SEASON, GIVE US EVERYONE IN THESE LAST EPS! #NCISLA (And also give Castor a really good review!!!).”
While @ameliascancamp shared a gif of someone crying alongside the caption: “Deeks and kensi not in this ep …” (sic)
As one fan mentioned, this isn’t the first time NCIS LA fans have been left scratching their heads as to the whereabouts of the show’s biggest stars so far this season
