Are those wedding bells we hear? Deeks and Kensi are finally getting married!
The NCIS: Los Angeles characters are tying the knot during the season 10 episode, “Till Death Do Us Part.” Longtime fans have wondered if we were ever going to see the day where Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) made it work. But it seems that moment is finally here, and there’s a lot to expect from the action-packed event. Stand by, as we list the reasons why you need to cancel your Sunday plans for this:
1. They’re not going to get hitched without a hitch.
Not only did Daniela spoil the fact that there’s going to be some drama in a cryptic post on Instagram, but the actress also told TVInsider to expect some sparks to fly—and we don’t mean romantic ones.
“You can’t have a Kensi-Deeks wedding that goes completely smoothly from beginning to end,” she said, adding that she rips her gorgeous high-neck dress herself to help the team fight crime. “I actually asked for that. I said, ‘We have to have Kensi fighting in the wedding dress,’” Daniela said.
2. We’ll meet Kensi’s friends.
Kat, Mindy, Mandy, Tiffany, and Tiffany are real! And they’re ready to celebrate their BFF’s big day. In a clip on Entertainment Weekly, the group can be seen holding back tears as they embrace Kensi. I’m not crying, I just have a cold…
3. We are finally going to find out what’s in THE BOX.
No, we’re not kidding. Deeks has been putting off opening the mysterious container for years (Kensi gave it to him in season 4). TVInsider reports it contains something he’s “always wanted” and we can’t wait to see what lies beneath the lid.
One thing we do know: The real-life cast booby-trapped the prop to surprise Eric, who had to improvise “why Kensi had put it in there.” We can’t wait to see his authentic reaction!
4. Hetty *might* surprise us with an appearance.
Key word being, “might.” Actress Linda Hunt, who plays Hetty on the series, promised to return toward the end of this season and everyone’s hoping that this might be the time. Linda—who is recovering from a scary car accident—hasn’t released any additional statements confirming this, but we can all hope!Ready to see what surprises the couple has in store? Don’t miss a minute of the sunshine and gunpowder-themed episode, “Till Death Do Us Part” on Sunday, March 17 at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
