NCIS Los Angeles fans will know there have been plenty of dramatic moments along the way for Kensi Blye (played by Daniela Ruah) and Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen). However, star Daniela Ruah has revealed how there was one scene in particular which left her unable to stop crying.
What Kensi and Deeks scene left Daniela Ruah emotional?
There’s no doubt fans of NCIS Los Angeles love the romantic storyline between Kensi and Deeks in the show.
Ever since Deeks joined towards the end of season one, their romance developed over the years.
This led to their much-anticipated wedding on the show in season 10, which was one of the highlights of their story for viewers.
Ahead of filming the wedding, the actors revealed what their favourite scenes were in an interview with TV Insider.
Among the highlights for Eric Christian Olsen were the real first kiss between the pair which came in season four.
He recalled: “Deeks comes at her and kisses her, saying, ‘How’s that for communication?’”
While Ruah admitted she loved their first fake kiss in season three when they had to pose undercover as a married couple.
She told the publication: “It definitely sparked something in the characters.”
However, during the interview, Ruah also admitted which scene between the duo she found the hardest to film.
She explained how the heartbreaking season nine finale was one of the most emotional moments for her.
She said: “The fight in the parking lot? The breakup? I couldn’t stop crying in the table read.”
Viewers will remember their confrontation in the parking lot, which came after the pair had been discussing how they could balance their lives with being part of NCIS
Deeks had been putting pressure on Kensi to agree their next mission would be their last and then they’d leave the team.
This all came to a head in episode 23 when they met in a parking lot and confronted how each other felt about this.
Kensi admitted she could not see herself leaving the team in the immediate future at all, leading to a heated argument between the pair.
Deeks told her: “The longer that we stay in, the better chance that this ends really poorly for us. You know that, right?”
He told her if they got out then they could have a fantastic life together just the two of them, discussing having children.
Kensi told him: “I can’t give that to you without lying to you or compromising who I am and I will not do that to either one of us ever.”
But in response Deeks said: “Then I don’t think we should be getting married.”
Thankfully, when season 10 began the pair reconciled with each other, which set up their beautiful wedding.
Both Kensi and Deeks will be coming back for season 12 of the hit drama series later this year.
So fans will be hopeful there will be some more emotional scenes between the pair on the series.
