NCIS LOS ANGELES season 13 is growing even more intense as Agent Kensi Blye’s whereabouts are unknown but will she be killed off?
NCIS Los Angeles returned for its 13th series last year and continues to surprise fans with every episode. The latest storyline sees Agent Kensi Blye (played by Daniela Ruah) in peril as she goes missing during an undercover mission. The CBS police procedural is leaving viewers on the edge of their seats as they wait to find out her fate.
In NCIS Los Angeles season 13, episode eight, The Land of Wolves, Admiral Kilbride (Gerald McRaney) gives some bad news to the team.
A number of dead bodies were found in the same area that Kensi was working undercover and no one has been able to get in touch with her since.
It is later revealed that she is on the rune from Gomez’s (Alex Elin Goyco) cartel and is seriously injured.
Of course, Agent Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) is beside himself with worry but could this really be the end of Kensi?
Is Kensi Blye going to die? Is Daniela Ruah leaving NCIS Los Angeles?
As of yet, there has been no indication that actress Daniela Ruah is leaving NCIS Los Angeles.
She has been in the CBS crime drama since the first season and remains a key member of the team as Kensi.
Her marriage to Deeks is one of the staples of the show as well so fans would be distraught to see anything happen to them, especially seeing as they now want to start a family.
The fact this is happening midway through a series also indicates no real harm will come to Kensi
Usually, in dramas, major storylines such as a main character being killed off would take place near the end or in a series finale.
So the fact there is still much more of season 13 to come does tease the safety of Kensi.
There has been some concern also though as actress Ruah wasn’t even in the eighth episode.
However, there is actually a very good reason why she didn’t appear in the latest instalment
Actress Ruah was working behind the camera rather than in front of it for The Land of Wolves.
She was directing the NCIS LA episode and so that’s why she wasn’t acting as Kensi.
Alongside a picture of Ruah by the director’s chair, CBS TV Studios posted on Instagram: “A powerhouse in front of and behind the camera.
“@ncisla is back tonight with an all-new episode directed by the one and only @danielaruah!
No new episode is going to air on Sunday, January 16, on CBS as the drama is taking a one-week break.
Instead, two episodes, entitled Under the Influence and Where Loyalties Lie, will be shown the following week in a back-to-back special.
