NCIS: LOS ANGELES star Eric Christian Olsen – who fans know best as playing Marty Deeks in the CBS drama – has stunned fans with his latest home workout video, with his Instagram followers quick to comment on his new “shredded” look.
Eric Christian Olsen has become one of NCIS: LA fans’ most popular cast members over the past few years thanks to his portrayal of Marty Deeks in the CBS drama. Deeks has been at the forefront of some of the show’s biggest and most explosive storylines for years, whether it be his sweet romance with Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) or a few brushes with death along the way. As such, viewers have seen Olsen’s tranformation over the past decade or so on the drama, but were quick to voice their amazement at the actor’s latest Instagram post.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues to force people to stay home when they can, Olsen has been taking matters into his own hands when it comes to workouts.
The NCIS: LA has adapted to the new way of life by getting his exercise in at home, sharing with his 516k Instagram followers what he goes through.
And in his latest clip, Olsen was joined by his daughter Esme to get some press-ups in.
Alongside the short video, Olsen captioned: “This kid counts like a politician
“Thanks @bowflex for getting me more in shape at 43 than I was at 23. #dadbod #everydayisdaughterday.”
Olsen was teasing his daughter as she gets her numbers jumbled up while counting his father’s reps.
However, hundreds of fans were slightly more distracted from the reps and workout itself as they spotted Olsen’s ripped new look.
After completing the workout topless in the clip, it didn’t take long for fans and a few famous faces to weigh in with their shock and amazement at the actor’s transformation
“I hate how much I love your bod,” replied Veronica Mars star Ryan Hansen.
An NCIS: LA fan added: “So at 55yrs old , my body is hurting from just watching you do that. Lol. Keep up the good work.” (sic)
“You look amazing ECO ! Cutie pie on your back,” responded a third follower while a fourth commented: “Aye ok Eric! Know folk that would kill to look like u and ain’t no where near 43!”
Another follower chimed in: “Can I have one [a body] that looks that good at 43?!”
Whether NCIS: LA will get to see Deeks show off his washboard abs in season 12 remains to be seen.
This isn’t the first time Olsen has caused a storm online by taking to his Instagram page in recent weeks.
Last month, Olsen and his wife Sarah welcomed their adorable third child together.
After Sarah had given birth, Olsen shared a beautiful, candid snap of his family from their home – sharing their newborn’s name.
“As we collectively navigate the chaos and existential crisis that is 2020 we anchor ourselves with the things that matter most. Family, friends and human connection,” Olsen penned alongside the heartwarming photo.
He added: “Winter Story Olsen came to us sept 15th. She’s 10lbs 4 ounces of newborn bliss. Mama and baby are doing great, home safe surrounded by a cuddle puddle of kids and giant dogs.
“Life is equal parts spectacular and fleeting; We have an obligation to the world and to ourselves to push through fear, apathy and self preservation and LOVE FEARLESSLY.”
