NCIS Marks 1,000th Episode Milestone with Epic Crossover Event Featuring NCIS: Hawai’i and NCIS: Los Angeles
NCIS is gearing up for a monumental celebration of its 1,000th episode with a unique crossover event featuring NCIS: Hawai’i and NCIS: Los Angeles. The special episode will see characters from the spin-offs joining the storyline, though not physically teaming up with the main show’s Washington, D.C., team.
TVLine reveals that NCIS: Los Angeles’ Special Agent Kensi Blye-Deeks, portrayed by Daniela Ruah, and NCIS: Hawai’i’s Special Agent Jane Tennant, played by Vanessa Lachey, will be part of the significant episode set to broadcast on CBS.
Adding to the star-studded episode, Spence Moore II will take on the role of Director Leon Vance’s son. The storyline promises high stakes, as described by NCIS co-showrunner David North, who teased that a cherished character will face peril, uniting the franchises in an unprecedented manner.
Co-showrunner Steven D. Binder hinted at a storyline revolving around Director Vance, enriching the narrative with personal elements and nods to the series’ rich history. The creators are intent on honoring the legacy of NCIS, including planting “Easter eggs” for the dedicated audience.
The crossover marks a significant return for Ruah’s character, Kensi, especially after NCIS: Los Angeles concluded its 14-season run. Beyond acting, Ruah has ventured into directing, taking the helm for episodes of NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i set to air soon.
Reflecting on her directorial role and return to the NCIS set, Ruah expressed deep affection for the cast and crew, celebrating the sense of reunion and the honor of directing episodes for the franchise that introduced Kensi 15 years ago.
NCIS continues to captivate audiences on CBS in the United States, with the extensive back catalog of episodes available for streaming on Disney+ in the UK.
