There is some bad news to start off the day. NCIS season 23 won’t get a new episode tonight, Tuesday, Nov. 25.
When you consider the week that it is, this won’t be too surprising. Not only did the show already warn us that it would take a week off due to the promo, but it’s also usual for the networks to take this week off. It’s Thanksgiving on Thursday, and that means people are traveling and the networks know that you’re probably not going to be tuning in.

So, that means no new episode on Tuesday, Nov. 25. There is some good news, as there is a rerun on. However, we’re seeing NCIS and NCIS: Origins flipped for the rerun. We’re heading back to the two-episode crossover event that started in the 1990s and ended in 2025.
If you don’t want to watch the crossover event again, then you’ll want to turn your attention to Paramount+. This is where all previous seasons are streaming, so you can choose the episode you want to watch.
NCIS season 23 episode 7 will air on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at the usual time of 8/7c on CBS. It’s great news for those who feared that the previous episode was the fall finale. CBS hasn’t been all that upfront with when fall finales will air in 2025, so it’s natural to fear. After all, a lot of other networks have put their shows on hold already.
NCIS will head on its winter break soonEmpty heading
While we don’t yet have exact confirmation, NCIS season 23 is likely to head on its winter break soon. It looks like NCIS season 23 episode 8 will be the fall finale, which is slated to air on Tuesday, Dec. 9. It makes sense for CBS to put the finale on this late into the year, especially since the premiere didn’t happen until October!
Now we have some bad news. Once the show goes on a break, it’s going to be for longer than initially expected. CBS normally brings shows back in January, but due to the Winter Olympics, the network has decided to hold off on the returns, with NCIS coming back on Tuesday, Feb. 24. This does make sense as it means more consistency on the other side, but it is disappointing for those who want Tuesday nights back in style in the new year.
NCIS is available to stream on Paramount+ and will return with new episodes on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
