“I saw some trolls. They were like, ‘They photoshopped your waist,'” she said. “And I was like, ‘No, they did not.'”

As it turns not, Nicola explained that, if there’s any noticeable changes to her body, it’s due to the costuming required by being one of Bridgerton‘s biggest stars.

“If you wear corsetry for long enough, your body really molds to it,” she explained.

Nicola also explained that the experience of wearing corsetry all the time has changed her approach to fittings in general.

“Sometimes they come in a fitting for a fashion designer and they put a corset on me, and I’m like, ‘Oh, you can go tight,’ and they go, ‘What do you mean?'”Nicola Coughlan in an off-shoulder, sparkling beaded gown with long velvet gloves and a matching headpiece, posing in front of a "Bridgerton" backdrop
